Lowe House 2026

The Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) invites artists to exhibit original 2D work at the Lowe House Building in Annapolis, MD, the office building for the Maryland State Delegates. Entry is open to MFA Members or artists residing in Anne Arundel County. Original 2D work created through any media and following entry guidelines are eligible. A maximum of 6 original works created within the past 3 years may be entered. Work previously exhibited at the Lowe House Office Building is not eligible for re-entry. Maximum size of work, including edges of artwork or frame, cannot exceed 30" in height and 24" in width. All work must be original and completed solely by the artist's hand.

Works selected by the juror will be exhibited at the Lowe House of Delegates Office Building (6 Bladen Street, Annapolis, MD, 21401) from January 14 – April 13, 2026. Online entry opens September 16. Accepted and shipped work must arrive at MFA Circle Gallery January 9–11. A virtual awards ceremony will be held January 18 from 4–5 PM via Zoom. Hand-delivered work can be picked up from the Lowe House April 14, 11 AM–2 PM, or from Circle Gallery April 15, 11 AM–4 PM. Shipped work will be sent April 20.

Entry fees are $30 for 1–2 entries, with up to 4 additional entries at $4.50 each. Entry fees are non-refundable. All entries must be uploaded through artcall.org with a maximum file size of 10 MB. For video submissions, the link must be placed in the Linked Web Resource field with a still frame uploaded as an attachment; accepted video submissions must be delivered to MFA on a thumbdrive. Work must be for sale and may be set to Price on Request (POR). Artists will retain 70% from sales (75% for MFA Members), with MFA retaining 30% commission (25% for MFA Members) on any work sold through MFA. Work cannot be withdrawn before the end of the event. Images of accepted works may be used by MFA for promotional purposes including the invitation, catalog, website, social media, or subsequent year's prospectus, with attribution included wherever possible.
