Love Exhibition - 2021

This art competition invites artists to submit work interpreting the theme of "Love." The subject explores love as one of the strongest and oldest words in human history, referencing the ancient Greek recognition of eight types of love: Agape (unconditional and selfless love), Eros (romantic and passionate love), Philia (affectionate and platonic love), Philautia (self-compassion and self-love), Storage (kinship and parent-child love), Pragma (enduring and matured love), Ludus (playful, early days love), and Mania (obsessive, mad and jealous love). All artistic expressions and interpretations of Love are welcome.

Accepted media include painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media. All styles are welcome with no size limits. Artists may submit up to 5 original artworks related to the subject, though a maximum of 3 artworks may be selected from each chosen artist. Artworks must be entirely the work of the artist and created within the last 5 years (preferred). Entries must not include copies or derivatives of copyrighted works, nor content involving pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or offensive material. Artists must own all rights for promoting, publishing, and selling their artworks internationally.

Selected artworks will be showcased in an online group exhibition from August 25 to September 25, 2021. Awards include public choice cash prizes of USD 100 each for 3 artists with the highest artwork ranks, publication in an international art catalogue, promotion for artwork sales, exhibition reviews and ratings from visitors, regular reports with analytics and engagement statistics, and a digital certificate. Entry fee is USD 30 for 3 artworks, with USD 5 for each additional artwork (up to 5 total). The competition is open to all visual artists worldwide.
