Louisville Art Association 34th Annual National Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale

The Louisville Art Association presents the 34th Annual National Juried 2019 Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale, held at the Louisville Center for the Arts (801 Grant Ave., Louisville, CO 80027), a historic Victorian schoolhouse. The exhibition runs August 31 - September 8, 2019, as part of Louisville's Labor Day celebrations. All media is eligible except quilts, fiber art, and installation pieces. Artwork size cannot exceed 48 inches on any side including frame, with a minimum of 11" x 14" framed. Sculptures must weigh less than 70 lbs. The judge is Desmond O'Hagan from Denver, Colorado.

Entry fee is $40 for up to three entries, with an additional $10 per entry for a maximum of six pieces. Submissions must include 3-6 images as JPGs. Artists must provide a brief biography (170 words or less) and ensure all work is original, completed within the last two years, and not previously shown in this exhibition. All artwork must be properly framed and wired for hanging, ready for display. Artists must be 18 years or older.

Accepted artists receive $3,000 in total cash awards, including Best of Show ($600), 2nd Place ($400), 3rd Place ($250), 10 Artistic Achievement Awards ($100 each), Judge's Award ($200), and People's Choice Award ($200). All exhibited artwork must be for sale, with the Louisville Art Association retaining a 25% commission on sales. Accepted artists may also display up to 10 pieces of matted bin work or cards for sale. Shipped artwork must be received by August 23, 2019; hand-delivered artwork is accepted August 28, 2019 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Unsold work is returned following the closing date.
