Louisville Art Association 33rd Annual National Juried Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale

The Louisville Art Association presents the 33rd Annual National Juried Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale, held at the Louisville Center for the Arts (801 Grant Ave., Louisville, CO 80027), a historic Victorian schoolhouse. The exhibition runs September 1-9, 2018, as part of Louisville's Labor Day weekend celebrations. All media is eligible except quilts, fiber art, and installation pieces. Artwork must not exceed 48 inches on any side including frame, with a minimum size of 11" x 14" framed. Sculptures must weigh less than 70 lbs. All exhibited artwork must be original in concept and execution, completed within the last two years, and not previously shown in this exhibition.

Entry fee is $40 for up to three entries, with an additional $10 per entry up to six total pieces. LAA members receive a $5 discount. Entrants must submit 3-6 images as JPGs and a brief biography (170 words or less). The juror is Michael Clark from Estes Park, Colorado. Award winners will be selected after artwork is received. Total cash awards are $3,000, including Best of Show ($600), 2nd Place ($400), 3rd Place ($250), 10 Artistic Achievement Awards ($100 each), Judge's Award ($200), and People's Choice Award ($200).

All artwork must be for sale, with the Louisville Art Association retaining a 25% commission on sales. Prices set during entry cannot be changed. Shipped artwork must be received by August 24, 2018, and hand-delivered artwork is accepted August 29, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Unsold work is returned following the exhibition closing date. Sales and award proceeds are paid to artists within three weeks of the show's close.
