Louisville Art Association 32nd Annual National Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale

The Louisville Art Association presents the 32nd Annual National Juried Fine Art and Photography Show and Sale, held at the Louisville Center for the Arts, 801 Grant Avenue, Louisville, CO 80027. The exhibition runs for 9 days, starting with a preshow viewing on Friday, September 1, 2017, and continuing through two weekends (closed Tuesday). The historic venue is a completely renovated Victorian-era red brick schoolhouse built circa 1904.

Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 entries, with an additional $10.00 for each additional entry up to 6 total pieces. Artists must submit 3-6 JPG images. All artwork must be original in concept and execution, completed within the last 2 years, and not previously shown in the National Fine Art Show or National Photography Show. All media is eligible including photography, except quilts, framed fiber arts, and installation pieces. Artwork size must not exceed 48" on any side, with a minimum of 11" x 14" framed. Content must be appropriate for general audiences with no frontal nudity. Artists must provide a brief biography (170 words or less). This competition is open to all artists 18 years and older.

Accepted artists will be notified by email by July 16, 2017. Shipped artwork must arrive by August 25, 2017. Hand-delivered artwork is accepted August 30, 2017 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. Awards include Best of Show ($600), 2nd Place ($400), 3rd Place ($250), 10 Artistic Achievement Awards ($125 each), Judge's Award ($200), and 1 People's Choice Award ($200). All exhibited artwork is for sale with the Louisville Art Association retaining a 25% commission. Accepted artists may display up to 10 matted bin works or cards for sale. Hand-delivered artwork must be picked up September 10, 2017 between 4:00pm-6:00pm. The show is held in conjunction with the Louisville Labor Day weekend event.
