Louisville Art Association 25th National Photography Show

The Louisville Art Association invites photographers to submit work for the 25th National Photography Show. This juried competition is open to national entries and offers over $7,000 in cash awards and prizes, including Best of Show, People's Choice Award, First Place in each category, and Artistic Achievement Awards. The judge is Dona Laurita, a professional photographer with 25 years of exhibition experience.

Submissions must be original work executed in a professional manner and suitable for a general audience of all ages. Photographers may submit 3-6 digital images in JPEG format (1920 pixels on longest edge, sRGB color space, 90 DPI, under 5 megabytes). Entry categories include: Digitally Designed, Alternative Process, People, Animal & Wildlife, Nature Created, Human Made, and Still Life and Abstracts. The entry fee is $35 for three images and $10 for each additional image up to six total. Work shown in previous LAA National shows will not be accepted.

Accepted work must be framed and ready to hang (maximum 5 feet on longest side). Framed work should be shipped or hand-delivered by June 1, 2016. The exhibition runs June 4-12, 2016 at the Louisville Art Center (801 Grant Ave., Louisville). Awards reception is June 4, 2016 from 6pm-9pm. Selected artists may display up to 10 pieces of matted bin work or cards for sale, with the LAA retaining a 25% commission on sales. All submissions are made through CallforEntry.org.
