About This Call
Loss, Redemption, and Grace is a juried exhibition at EBD4 in Atlanta inviting artists to share their interpretations and expressions of how they have channeled creative forces in response to loss, redemption, and grace. The exhibition runs from June 8 – July 20, 2019, with an opening reception on Saturday June 8. Elyse Defoor, director of EBD4, will serve as curator. Jerry Cullum, Ph.D., and Teresa Bramlette Reeves, Ph.D., will serve as jurors. Three cash awards totaling $800 will be given for Best in Show ($500), 1st place ($200), and 2nd place ($100), with two Honorable Mentions.
Eligibility is open to American artists 18 years of age or older. Entry fee is $40.00 with an additional $10 for each image beyond the required three (5 images maximum). Only original wall-mounted works of drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, wall-mounted sculpture, textiles, mixed media, and collage may be submitted. Artwork must not exceed 80" high (100lb maximum) and crating must fit through a doorway that is 34" wide x 80" high. All artwork must be suitably framed to a professional standard using Plexiglas (except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"). A brief artist statement (200-word maximum) is required. All artwork must be priced for sale, with the price including EBD4's 50% sales commission. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping of all artwork and must provide their own insurance. Accepted artists will be notified by April 15, 2019.
