Los Angeles Printmaking Society: Juried Membership Exhibition 2011

The Los Angeles Printmaking Society invites submissions for its Juried Membership Exhibition 2011, to be held at the City of Brea Art Gallery, 1 Civic Center Circle, Brea, CA 92821, from June 4 to July 15, 2011. The exhibition is open to all regular members whose 2011 dues of $50 have been paid. The entry fee is $15 for up to 3 images. Submissions must include 1-3 images of work in all print media (except conventional photography) and mixed media in which printmaking processes are dominant.

Key dates: Entry deadline is March 20, 2011 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury results will be notified by April 20. Shipped work must arrive between May 6-18, 2011. Hand delivery is available Saturday, May 14, 11 AM-3 PM. The opening reception is Saturday, June 4, 7-9 PM (free to public). Work pick-up is July 16, 11 AM-3 PM.

All work must be ready for installation. Hung pieces must be framed, wired, and under Plexiglas. The gallery requires work to be framed simply with neutral colored mats and frames—no carved or ornate frames. There are no size restrictions, but shipping containers must conform to UPS or FEDEX standards. Artists must arrange and prepay shipping with return labels and insure their own work in transit. Work will be sold at the listed price plus sales tax, with a 30% commission deducted from sales. Brea Gallery will insure exhibited prints during the show. The Los Angeles Printmaking Society does not assume liability for prints. Filing the entry form constitutes agreement with all conditions and permission to photograph work for archival and promotional purposes.
