About This Call

Dab Art Co. operates Main Street Gallery, a contemporary art space in Downtown Los Angeles's Arts District featuring group exhibitions and solo shows. Online exhibitions vary from 3 to 6 months. For the Summer Solo Series 2022, the gallery awards new solo features monthly, selecting an average of 5-7 artists each month. Gallery exhibition lengths may vary from 4 to 12 weeks. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews and/or panel discussions about their exhibits.

Main Street Gallery has an industrial style with high ceilings and modern layout. Located within Downtown's historic core in LA's Arts District and Gallery Row, it is one of 25 galleries featured on the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. The gallery is partnered with the international sales platform ARTSY, which has expanded collector visibility. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by Dab Art Co. Roster artists receive priority consideration for exhibitions, ongoing professional consultation and portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance in selected publications, online market inventory and website profile.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images. Additional images cost $5 per image, with a maximum of 20 images. An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100. The director will review your website, social media accounts, biography, artist statement and discuss professional goals. Consultations are conducted via Zoom, limited to 1 hour maximum, and artists receive a recorded copy. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Notifications are generally sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists receive either an "Invited" status for immediate exhibition consideration or "Wait List" status, with waitlisted artists featured in at least one exhibition within the calendar year. Submissions must include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link and links to at least 1 social media platform. All work must be original, unsold work with the artist owning sole copyright. For 2D artwork selected for exhibition, pieces must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats and wiring in good condition.
