Los Angeles | Gallery Row Open Call - Main Street Gallery

Main Street Gallery is a contemporary art space in Downtown Los Angeles's Arts District and Gallery Row, featuring an industrial style with high ceilings and modern layout. The gallery focuses on exhibiting contemporary artists through conceptual group shows and solo exhibitions, and is featured on the CURATE LA gallery map and the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk.

Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 12 weeks for in-gallery shows and 3 to 6 months for online exhibitions. The number of pieces displayed depends on the artist's medium and work sizes. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions, and a selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by the Dab Art Co. Roster, which offers priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing support, and online inventory placement.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100, conducted via Zoom within 90 days of payment. The consultation includes review of your website, social media, biography, and artist statement, with constructive feedback to improve your online presence. Gallery retains 50% commission on all exhibition sales. Sales remittance to artists is provided within 5-7 business days after exhibition close or sale completion. Notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists receive either an "Invited" status for immediate exhibition placement or "Wait List" status, with waitlisted artists featured in at least one exhibition within the calendar year. All work must be original, unsold, with the artist owning sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality, and 2D artwork must be ready to hang.
