Los Angeles Gallery Row | Open Call for Group + Solo Selections

Main Street Gallery, located in Downtown Los Angeles's Arts District and Gallery Row, is accepting submissions for group exhibitions and solo features. The gallery features an industrial style with high ceilings and modern layout, and is one of 25 galleries featured on the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 12 weeks in gallery, or 3 to 6 months for online exhibitions. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions, and a selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions.

Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by the Dab Art Co. Roster, which offers priority consideration for exhibitions, ongoing professional consultation and portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance, online market inventory, and website profile. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Artwork is listed on the Dab Art Co.'s sales platform, Artsy. Sales remittances are paid within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer.

Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100, conducted via Zoom with a maximum duration of 1 hour. Submissions must include at least 3 images, a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least 1 social media platform. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own the sole copyright. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats, and wiring. Notifications are generally sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists receive either an "Invited" status for immediate exhibition consideration or "Wait List" status, with waitlisted artists featured in at least one exhibition within the calendar year.
