Los Angeles | Gallery Row Open Call

Dama Gallery, located in the Historic Core of Downtown Los Angeles as part of Gallery Row, invites artists to submit work for exhibition consideration. Gallery Row comprises over 50 distinguished art galleries, museums, theaters, and public art installations. Dama Gallery exhibits alongside renowned establishments such as Hauser & Wirth, The Broad, and MOCA.

Exhibition lengths vary from 1 to 3 months, with the number of pieces depending on the artist's medium and sizes of selected work. Featured artists are invited and encouraged to attend receptions. A selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews and/or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by Dama Gallery, which includes priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing and promotional assistance, and online market inventory and website profile.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All artwork must be original and unsold, with the artist owning sole copyright. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance during shipping. Submissions should include at least 3 images (minimum 3, maximum 20), biography, artist statement, website, and social media accounts. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each (maximum 20 total). Entries are reviewed weekly with selections made throughout the month. Sales are handled through Artsy, with Dama Gallery retaining a 50% commission. Sales remittance occurs 5-7 business days post-exhibition and/or upon buyer payment finalization.
