Los Angeles 2024 | Gallery Row Open Call

Main Street Gallery, located in Downtown Los Angeles's Arts District and Gallery Row, is accepting submissions for exhibition consideration. The gallery features an industrial style with high ceilings and modern layout, and is one of 25 galleries featured on the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk. The gallery's program focuses on exhibiting contemporary artists through conceptual group shows and solo exhibitions.

Exhibition lengths vary from 4 to 12 weeks for in-gallery shows and 3 to 6 months for online exhibitions. The number of pieces displayed depends on the artist's medium and work sizes. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions, and a selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews or panel discussions. Artists selected for exhibition will be considered for representation by the Dab Art Co. Roster, which offers priority consideration for future exhibitions, professional consultation, portfolio assistance, marketing support, and online inventory placement.

Submission requirements include a minimum of 3 images (maximum 20) along with a biography and/or artist statement, artist website link, and links to at least one social media platform. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each. An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100, conducted via Zoom with a maximum duration of 1 hour. All work must be original, unsold, and owned solely by the artist. Frames, mats, and wiring must be professional quality and in good condition; 2D artwork must be ready to hang. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all sales. Sales remittance to artists is provided within 5-7 business days after exhibition close or sale completion.
