Lore - Small Works 2024 Exhibition

ArtWise in Grand Forks invites visual artists from across the United States to participate in the Small Works 2024 exhibition. This year's theme is "Lore," inviting artists to explore and express the rich tapestry of myths, legends, and stories that have shaped our world. The exhibition will take place from May 4th – June 15th, 2024 at the ArtWise Gallery, located in the Columbia Mall of Grand Forks, ND. The exhibition jurors are Tait Simonson and Matthew Anderson.

ArtWise is seeking original artworks in various mediums, all smaller than 10" x 10" x 10". Accepted mediums include painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional art, digital art, photography, and mixed media. All artworks must be original and completed within the past three years. Audio and video submissions are not accepted. Participating artists have the chance to win awards, including the Best of Show Award with a prize of $250 as well as three additional awards of $100 each.

Entry fee is $35 for the first three works, with the option to submit additional works for $10 each, up to a maximum of six. Artwork must be available for sale. Open to all artists 18 years and older living in the US. The commission rate is 70% for the artist and 30% for the gallery upon the sale of artwork. For 2D artworks, they must be able to be hung by wire or another acceptable means (no sawtooth hangers). 3D works should be self-supporting with minimal assistance. Submission deadline is March 7th, 2024. Notifications will be sent on or before March 29th, 2024. Artwork delivery must be received no later than April 20th, 2024. The artists' reception is on May 4th between 3 – 6 pm. Artwork pickup dates are from June 17th – 22nd, 2024 between 1 - 4 pm. Shipped artwork will be returned to the artist by July 15th, 2024 (artists must provide paid return labels by July 1st, 2024).
