Lore & Legend

Lore & Legend showcases fine art inspired by fiction, fantasy, lore, and legend. This open call welcomes fan art creations inspired by literature or the creative work of others, as well as original content from the artist's own imagination that aligns with fantasy genres both high and low.

Eligibility: Artists must be 18 years or older. All artwork must be original and completed within the last 5 years, and cannot have been previously exhibited at Blue Line Arts. Submissions consist of 1-5 images. Entry fee is $25 ($0 for Blue Line Arts members with coupon code). All 2-D works must have wire backing (no sawtooth hangers). Artwork must be able to enter through doors with 94"h x 91"w clearance, with ceilings at 10 feet high. Nothing over 60 lbs will be accepted. All artwork must be for sale.

Important Dates: Submission deadline is May 1, 2023. Notifications will be sent May 5, 2023. Exhibition runs May 27 – July 8, 2023. Shipped work must arrive by May 21, 2023. Hand delivery is available May 21 & 22, 10am-3pm. Opening reception is June 17, 2023, 4-8pm. Unsold work pickup is July 9-10, 10am-3pm. Jury: Blue Line Arts Co-Directors Brooke Abrames and MaryTess Mayall. Cash prizes: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $100.
