Lore Degenstein Gallery's 13th Annual Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition

This is a juried visual art competition and exhibition open to two-dimensional figurative artists (referencing the human figure) who are over the age of 18, working in painting, drawing, printmaking, or fiber. The 2022 juror is Mira Gerard, a painter and Professor in the Department of Art & Design at East Tennessee State University.

Artists may submit up to three works for a non-refundable entry fee of $30. All entries must have been completed within the last 5 years (2018 or later). Images should be submitted as 300 dpi JPEG files, no smaller than 5" x 7" in scale, using the filename format "LastNameFirstInitial-Title". Notification of acceptance will be emailed September 13-14, 2022. All accepted works must be framed or otherwise ready to hang and may be shipped via USPS, UPS, FedEx, or hand delivered to Lore Degenstein Gallery, Susquehanna University, 1858 Weber Way, Selinsgrove, PA 17870. Shipped work must have a pre-paid return shipping label. The deadline for received works is October 21, 2022.

Awards include: Best of Show ($2,500), Second Prize ($1,500), Third Prize ($1,000), Fourth Prize ($750), and Fifth Prize ($500). The exhibition opens November 5, 2022 (7-9 pm) and ends December 11, 2022. Return of works begins December 15, 2022 (shipping on hold December 20 through January 3).
