About This Call
The Heckscher Museum of Art invites artists to submit work for the Long Island Biennial 2026, on view May 16 – September 13, 2026 at the Heckscher Museum of Art.
Entry fees are $25 for current Museum Members, $45 for non-members, or $60 for new members (includes 1-year Individual Membership). Submissions must include digital images of artwork in high-quality JPEG format (at least 1920 pixels on the longest edge, maximum 30 MB file size), an artist's statement (maximum 120 words), and a listing of fine arts education, recent exhibitions, and collections. The artist's statement will be used as exhibition label text if the work is selected.
Accepted artwork must be delivered to the Museum by May 6, 2026. Paintings should be framed or museum-wrapped and wired. Prints, photographs, and works on paper must be matted, framed, and wired. Sculptures must include base, pedestal, and vitrine cover where required, with bases and pedestals painted white. All artwork must be labeled with artist name, title, date, and medium. Artists are responsible for all transportation costs. Artwork cannot be withdrawn during the exhibition and must be picked up by September 15, 2026.
