About This Call
Long Beach Vibez is a group exhibition inviting artists of all kinds to honor, reinterpret, and remix the essence of Long Beach. The exhibition runs from October 11th to November 15th, 2025, Friday through Sunday, 1-4PM, with special events.
Artists may submit work in all mediums including sculpture, assemblage, paintings, drawings, collage, photographs, digital art, videos, and printmaking. All work must have been produced within the last five years and may not exceed 36 inches in any dimension, including the frame. AI-generated or significantly altered work is not accepted. Suggested themes include historic icons, tattoo culture, car life, skateboarding and beach culture, LGBTQ+ identity, cultural intersections, and the city's music and bar scene.
Eligibility is limited to artists who reside in Los Angeles County or Orange County, California; artists who grew up in Long Beach but no longer reside there; or current students and alumni of CSULB (California State University, Long Beach) or LBCC (Long Beach City College). The entry deadline is Wednesday, September 3rd, at 10PM PST. The non-refundable entry fee is $20. Each artist may submit a maximum of 3 works. All work must be for sale and reasonably priced. 2D work must have proper weight picture wire and d-rings; paintings on canvas do not need frames but edges should be clean. Work must be neatly and professionally presented and match the photograph submitted at application. Drop-off dates are Saturday, September 27th, 10AM-12PM and Sunday, September 28th, 3PM-5PM. Artists will be notified on Monday, September 15th. Pick-up dates are Saturday, November 15th, 4PM-6PM and Sunday, November 16th, 10AM-12PM. Jurors are Michael Biagiotti (Lead Jurist), Michele Rene, and Lucas Gordon.
