Lone Tree Photographic Art Show and Sale

The Eleventh Annual Lone Tree Photographic Art Show and Sale is presented by the Lone Tree Arts Commission and the Lone Tree Photo Club. This juried show runs April 20, 2013 to June 9, 2013 at the Lone Tree Arts Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124.

Open to all photographers. Each photographer may submit up to three images. Images must be originals executed and altered by the photographer only, completed within the last three years, and not shown in a previous Lone Tree Photography Show. Images must be non-offensive to a general audience of all ages and must be for sale. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable). Photographers must apply via CaFE by the entry deadline of March 3, 2013. Fees may be paid via credit card on CaFE or check made payable to the City of Lone Tree and mailed to: Lone Tree Arts Center, c/o Photo Show, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, CO, 80124.

Submission categories include: People, Travel & Place; Wild Animals; Nature and Landscape; and Digital Art. Entries should accurately reflect the subject matter as it appeared when captured. Basic processing including color correction, exposure adjustment, spotting, curves, levels, saturation, contrast, and cropping are acceptable in all categories. High dynamic range images (HDR) and stitched panoramas are acceptable. Digitally or otherwise manipulated or altered images will only be accepted in the Digital Art category. Selections are made from JPEG images by blind jury review. Total cash awards are estimated at $4,000, with award amounts per category based on the total number of entries in each category. The Best of Show winner will be awarded gallery space for up to 10 images for 30 days at the Lone Tree Arts Center following the Photo Show.

Accepted images must be appropriately framed with saw tooth hangers not acceptable, and wired for wall mounting on the Arakawa Hanging System. Framed finished images must not weigh more than 55 lbs. A label must be attached to the back identifying artist, title, category and price. Images must be delivered during drop off on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and retrieved during pick up on Monday, June 10, 2013, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sales will be conducted by the Lone Tree Arts Center with a 20% commission charged. Accepted artists may sell up to six images of bin work at the Opening Cocktail Reception only. Images may not be removed before the end of the Photo Show.
