Lone Tree Art Center Sculpture Program

The Lone Tree Art Center Sculpture Program is open to artists and artist teams over 18 years of age. All work must be original in concept and the result of independent or team effort. Artists may submit up to three existing, completed sculptures with no more than 8 images total. Multiple images from different perspectives per sculpture are required, with the base visible in at least one image. All entries must include a description of the installation process specific to each sculpture submitted.

Eligibility requirements include that sculptures must be able to withstand intense sun, snow, wind, and temperature extremes common in Colorado, and require minimal to no maintenance. Any variety of materials may be incorporated. Work accepted into the program may not be submitted to another program within a 30-mile radius of Lone Tree. Sculptures will be displayed outdoors and seen by all ages.

Selected artists will receive a $1,600 stipend payable after installation completion. All work must be for sale at the price submitted on the entry form and must remain on display throughout the program year. The City of Lone Tree retains the right to reproduce and distribute images of artwork through print and electronic media for promotion. At the end of the program year, LTAC has first right to purchase a sculpture for permanent display. Sculptures are covered by insurance based on the declared sale price. The artist retains copyright of the work. Installation and removal costs are covered by LTAC. Pedestals, ground mounts, and ready mix will be supplied based on requirements submitted in the entry.
