About This Call
The Optimist Club of Lockport is sponsoring its 50th annual Lockport Outdoor Arts & Craft Festival on Main Street on June 27-28, 2026 (11am-5pm both days). The festival attracts 20-25,000 people over the two-day period and is limited to 200 vendors. All proceeds support Youth Activities in the Lockport Area. Booth size is 10' (out from curb) x 15'W with setup from 7:00am-11:00am. Stakes cannot be driven into blacktop; weights must be used to secure tents.
The festival is open to artists and craftspeople who design and produce their own work in mediums including glass, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, painting, drawing, photography, wood, and sculpture. Both artist and non-artist vendors are accepted. Applicants must submit 4 high-resolution images of work and 1 image of booth display. All artwork must be the sole work of the applicant; buy-sell artwork is prohibited. All artists and craftspeople must be present both days of the festival. The jury/application fee is $20.00 (non-refundable). Booth fees vary by category and must be paid by May 31st to secure space. Booth fees are refundable if the festival is notified by June 10th minus a $30.00 cancellation fee.
Awards include Best in Show ($50 check, show ribbon, jury fee waived for following year) and Best in Category ($20 check, show ribbon). Jurors score entries on a scale of 1-5, with highest-scoring entries selected. Notification of acceptance occurs May 11th; accepted applicants must confirm by May 31st. The festival is outdoor (rain or shine) and participants must be weather-prepared. Electricity is not available on site. Portable generators must be placed at the back of the booth and enclosed, with sound not exceeding 60 decibels. Participants are responsible for trash disposal in plastic bags on the curb. No vehicles are permitted in the show area during public hours (11:00am-5:00pm). Contact: Karen Schine at [email protected] or (716) 434-2207.
