About This Call
Local Perspectives is the longest running juried exhibition featuring Siouxland's creative communities. The exhibition will be on view October 2, 2025 - February 9, 2026 in the JET Gallery, located on the 3rd floor of the Sioux City Art Center. The exhibition will be juried by Sioux City Art Center Curator Christopher Atkins.
All artists 18 and over who live within 75 miles of Sioux City can submit up to 3 artworks for consideration. Works in all media are eligible. Submission is free. The number of artworks selected will be based on the dimensions of 2D and 3D pieces. Awards will be offered to artworks judged to be 1st place ($500), 2nd place ($300), and 3rd place ($200). Awards will be announced at the opening reception on October 2, 2025.
Submissions must include JPG images (no larger than 2MB) of 1-3 artworks and information on each artwork including title, date, medium/materials, and dimensions. The entry deadline is July 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified of the juror's decision by August 22, 2025. Work must be received at the Sioux City Art Center by September 15, 2025. All works must be picked up by March 9, 2026.
