About This Call
The 20th Annual Local Color Studio Tour is a two-day artist studio tour taking place November 12-13, 2016 in Lubbock, Texas.
To participate, artists must be full-time residents of Lubbock County and present original works of art completed within the last 24 months. Artists are required to be present in their studio location during all hours of operation for both days. Entry fees are $150 for Lubbock Arts Alliance members or $190 for non-members. Artists opening their studio/home for the event pay $125 (members) or $165 (non-members). No refunds are provided for cancellations. Each participating artist must be juried into the show. If exhibiting multiple mediums, separate applications are required for each medium (Painting, Ceramics/Pottery, Glass, Jewelry, Fiber, Metal, or Other), each juried separately. Selected artists must provide at least two images for publicity purposes by September 1, 2016.
Artists are responsible for their own setup, takedown, sales transactions, and sales tax. All work sold must be original and entirely the work of the entrant. Artists must provide a working email address for all correspondence. Host studios are required to accommodate up to 5-6 additional juried artists and provide adequate display space for both 2-D and 3-D work, including wall space for hanging artwork. Host studios cannot place artists in basements, lofts, or areas accessed by stairs. Host studios must designate a contact person and notify the Arts Alliance immediately if an accident occurs during the event. Failure to report an accident within 30 minutes will result in disqualification from future participation.
