Liturgical & Sacred Art 2016

Liturgical and Sacred Art 2016 is open to all artists living in the United States working in all media. All submitted artwork must explore a spiritual or religious theme, be original, and have been completed in the last three years. No previously submitted work will be accepted.

A $30 non-refundable entry fee is required per artist. Each artist may submit up to three entries for consideration. One full image and one detail of each work will be accepted. Please include an artist statement or explanation of up to 1000 words in length. A total of $1500 in cash prizes will be awarded: Best of Show, First, Second and Third Prize. Works may be for sale, with the Springfield Art Association and LAFS sharing a 30% commission on sales from this exhibit.

Artists are responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the Art Association. All accepted works must be received no later than 5pm on April 22, 2016. Wall hung work must be framed and/or equipped with hanging devices. All other work must be ready to install. An Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 4:30 to 7:30pm in the M. G. Nelson Family Gallery at the Springfield Art Association. Awards will be presented at 5:30pm.
