Liturgical and Sacred Art Festival 2018

The Liturgical and Sacred Art Festival 2018 is open to all artists 18 years of age and older living in the United States working in all media. All submitted artwork must explore a spiritual or religious theme. Work must be original and completed in the last three years. No previously shown or submitted work will be considered.

Each artist may submit up to three works for consideration, with one full image and one detail of each accepted. A written statement of up to 1000 words must be included with your entry. An entry fee of $30 is required for each artist. A total of $1500 in awards will be distributed for First, Second, Third place, and Best of Show. Works may be for sale, with a 35% commission retained and split between the SAA and LAFS.

All artwork is insured while in the possession of the SAA. Artists are responsible for insurance on inbound and outbound shipping and the cost of shipping to and from the SAA. All accepted works must be received by the SAA no later than 5 pm on Monday, April 23, 2018. Hand-delivered work must be received during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 9 am to 5:30 pm or Saturday 10 am to 3 pm. All work must be ready to install and equipped with adequate hardware for hanging. By submitting work for exhibition, the artist gives the SAA/LAFS permission to photograph the work and use these images for promotional and educational purposes. The exhibition runs from April 27 through May 26, 2018. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 28 in the M.G. Nelson Family Gallery on the SAA campus from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, with awards announced at 5:30 pm.
