About This Call
Line is an online juried exhibition exploring line as subject, structure, or conceptual framework across all media. The exhibition runs July 7 - August 7, 2025. Site:Brooklyn Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary artists and has expanded their program to include online open call exhibitions selected by expert jurors.
The exhibition seeks works that explore the elemental figure of line—from straight to scribbles, stripes, and swirls—as present in everyday life such as city grids and written language, as well as in abstract concepts like geometry principles. The juror is Tara Anne Dalbow, a writer and critic based in Los Angeles whose work appears in Art Basel, Artforum, ARTnews, Art Papers, Artsy, Bomb, Flaunt, Frieze, Dwell, Interview, Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, W magazine, and elsewhere.
Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in all media. Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, with an additional $10.00 per image (up to 12 images total). Video submissions are also accepted (0-3 videos). All artwork must be original works and priced for sale. Artists retain 60% commission on all sales. Notification of acceptance is June 19, 2025. All entry fees are non-refundable. Direct questions to [email protected].
