The new Open Call from Aurea Photogallery celebrates the balance between light and darkness. We want photographs that use contrast as their main visual element, from sharp geometric shadows in urban architecture to intimate portraits in directional light and silhouettes.
We are looking for images that explore:
Geometric Shadows & Urban Patterns: Structural lines, sharp angles, and architectural projections.
Dramatic Lighting & Chiaroscuro: Intensely focused highlights paired with deep, moody shadows.
Bold Silhouettes & Backlit Subjects: Pure, iconic forms isolated against intense light sources.
The Subtle Interplay of Light & Dark: Nuanced transitions, soft gradients, and atmospheric depth.
