About This Call
Since 1966, The Lewiston Art Festival has attracted visitors and art lovers from Western New York and Southern Ontario, as well as international visitors from Niagara Falls, 10 minutes away. Each year this juried outdoor art show brings 25,000 visitors to the heart of the picturesque and historic Village of Lewiston, New York. The work of exceptional artists is showcased in a wide range of both fine art and fine craft categories including painting, graphic arts, mixed media, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and fiber/metal/wood.
Cash and ribbon prizes are awarded to artists in 7 categories plus Best Booth Display and Best of Show. There is no additional fee to compete for prize money. The festival features "College Alley" for student work, an Indigenous Market celebrating traditional and contemporary Native American art and crafts, and ArtZone with hands-on activities for kids. The show is held outdoors on Center Street with no admittance charge and free parking.
Application fee is $25 if received by April 15 ($50 after). Booth fee is $260 for single space, $510 for double. Artists must be present during festival hours (Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-5pm) and may only display work in their accepted category. Special rates available for students ($25 booth fee) and Indigenous Market artists ($25 booth fee) with waived application fees. Artists notified of jury decisions by May 15.
