LET IT FLOW - Showcasing work of Fluid Media

The Wickford Art Association's 2021 Let It Flow exhibit showcases works in fluid media including watercolor, liquid acrylics, gouache, and alcohol/drawing/acrylic ink. Open to all artists across the continental United States, the exhibit will be held at one of Southern New England's premiere art galleries with a 59-year record of promoting artistic excellence. Artists may submit up to five works.

The in-gallery exhibit runs October 29 through November 21, 2021, with an opening reception on Friday, October 29 from 4:00pm–7:00pm where prizes will be announced. A virtual gallery will launch following opening weekend, and artists have the opportunity to sell work for a three-month period following the exhibit through WAA's online shop. Bill Lane, a respected painter in New England with awards from major organizations including the American Watercolor Society and Newport Art Museum, will serve as jurist to curate the exhibit and determine awards.

Entry fee for non-members is $35 for the first entry and $15 for each additional entry. Current WAA members receive a 30% discount. Artists must submit 1-5 images. All work must be original, exhibition-ready, and available for the complete duration of the in-gallery exhibit. Work cannot exceed 56 inches high and 44 inches wide including the frame. Cash awards total $600 ($200 first prize, $150 second prize, $100 third prize, $75 honorable mentions with 2 provided) plus two non-cash Judge's Awards. Registration deadline is August 20, 2021 at 11:59pm Eastern Standard Time. Notification of acceptance will be provided by September 3, 2021. In-person delivery of accepted work is October 26-27, 2021, or shipped work must arrive by October 25, 2021. The WAA Gallery is located at 36 Beach Street, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
