LENS ERT: A Local Photography Exhibit of the Elizabeth River Trail

LENS ERT is an exhibition of photographs taken by Hampton Roads photographers of the Elizabeth River Trail. This is a juried exhibition in The Vault, a historical bank vault within the d'Art Center that creates an intimate and theme-based experience. The exhibition will accommodate approximately 30 works and will be featured both in-person and digitally on d'Art Center's archive site.

All selected photographs must be framed and matted in a frame no larger than 16" x 20". The exhibition runs Saturday, August 9th through Saturday, September 6th, 2025, with a dual opening reception on Thursday, August 14th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Jury notifications will be sent by email by 5 p.m. on Monday, July 21st, 2025. Accepted works must arrive by 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. The exhibition will be juried and curated by d'Art Center Gallery Director Amanda Bradley, with the Best in Show award ($300) selected by a panel of d'Art Center's professional working artists and staff.

Entry fee is $25 for 3 submissions (one image per submission). Additional submissions beyond 3 are $5 each, with a maximum of 10 works that can be submitted for jury consideration. Artists may submit the same image multiple times or use additional slots for detail images. Gallery commission on sales is 60/40 (60% artist, 40% d'Art Center). Works can also be marked NFS (not for sale). Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Works must include pre-paid return labels through FedEx or UPS.
