About This Call
The City of Lenexa presents the eleventh annual Lenexa Art Fair, a one-day, juried art show that connects fine artists with the community. The fair takes place at the outdoor venue at the Lenexa civic campus in Lenexa City Center, located in Johnson County, Kansas, about 12 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri. The civic campus includes a Public Market, Rec Center, City Hall, Farmers' Market, Art Gallery, Johnson County Library and parking garage.
The fair welcomes art exhibitors in 2D categories (Painting, Watercolor, Oil, Acrylic, Drawing, Pastel, Photography, Mixed-Media, Printmaking/Graphics, Digital) and 3D categories (Sculpture, Wood, Metal, Ceramics, Clay, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Stone). Approximately 50 artists will be chosen by a jury comprising highly qualified fine art judges. Artists must submit 5 photos including one booth setup image. The application fee is $25, with booth space at $95 for a 10x10' area including rental tent with vinyl side walls.
Prizes include $500 for Best of Show, $300 for First Place in 2D and 3D, $200 for Second Place, $100 for Third Place, and $50 for Honorable Mention. Winners are automatically invited to the 2027 show. Additional benefits include security, welcome goody bag, complimentary breakfast, free bottled water, free parking, booth sitters, and no percentage collected on sales. The event runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, with free public admission.
