About This Call
The Leigh Weimers Emerging Artists 2025 competition is open to emerging artists in the early stages of a professional art-related career who reside or work in Santa Clara County and are at least 18 years of age. The entry fee is $10.00.
Applicants may submit up to 20 work samples total, including up to 20 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files. Performance artists must submit video files and/or links to videos; applications based exclusively on still photos and/or audio files will not be reviewed. Literary submissions are limited to poetry, spoken word performance, and screenplays (10 page limit). Links to work samples on external websites must not exceed five minutes in duration. Submissions without work samples will not be reviewed.
The application deadline is July 15, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time. Winners are required to participate in the Awards Program on October 15th at the Hammer Theater in downtown San Jose. For questions, contact [email protected].
