Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition 2014

Sanchez Art Center invites entries for the Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition, running April 11 - May 18, 2014. The exhibition will feature a gala reception on Friday, April 11, 7-9 p.m. Juror Jenny Gheith is assistant curator for painting and sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA).

Eligibility is open to all California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska artists age 18 and older. All fine arts visual media will be considered. Artwork shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible. Work must be able to fit through a standard-sized door (80" x 35") and weigh less than 50 lbs. Framed 2D work must be wired (no sawtooth hangers). The entry fee is $15 per image, with no limit on the number of images submitted. Artists may submit 1-20 images. Awards: 2 artists receive $250 plus an exhibition and 2 artists receive $250.

Entry deadline is Tuesday, February 11, 2014, 11 p.m. Pacific Standard Time. Accepted artists will be notified by 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 6. Hand-delivery of work is Thursday, April 3, 2-8 p.m. Shipped work must arrive by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1 with prepaid return shipping. Pick up work Sunday, May 18, 5-7 p.m. or Monday, May 19, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Sales are encouraged; Sanchez Art Center retains a 30% commission on any works sold.
