Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition

Sanchez Art Center invites artists from California, Oregon, and Washington to submit work for the 2013 Left Coast Annual Juried Exhibition, running April 12 - May 19, 2013. The exhibition will be juried by Lucinda Barnes, Chief Curator and Director of Programs and Collections at UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive. A gala reception will be held Friday, April 12, 7-9 p.m.

Eligibility is open to all California, Oregon, and Washington artists age 18 and older working in all fine arts visual media. Artwork previously shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible. Work must fit through a standard-sized door (80" x 35") and weigh less than 50 lbs. All 2D work must be framed and wired (no sawtooth hangers). The Art Center reserves the right to refuse to hang accepted works not accurately represented by submitted images.

Applications may include between 1 and 20 images. The non-refundable entry fee is $15 per artwork submitted online via the CaFE system. Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Hand-delivered entries must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2013; mailed entries must be postmarked by the same date. The entry fee for direct submissions is $20 per image. Awards: 2 artists receive $250 plus an exhibition and 2 artists receive $250. Accepted artists will be notified by 5 p.m. Thursday, March 7. Sales are encouraged; Sanchez Art Center retains a 30% commission on works sold. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include prepaid return shipping labels.
