LCC Art Gallery Exhibition Call, 2017-2019

The LCC Art Gallery is committed to offering a rich and diverse cultural experience to the campus community and the greater metropolitan area. The gallery offers a transformative opportunity to experience life as depicted by regional, national, and international artists, with exhibitions inclusive of a variety of media and concepts.

16 exhibitions will be selected to be shown over the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years. The gallery is looking for artists of both contemporary and traditional subject matter working in all mediums. This is an excellent opportunity for solo and group exhibitions. Artists selected for an exhibition will receive a $250 stipend at the end of the exhibition to help offset costs for shipping or travel.

Artists must submit a minimum of 5 and maximum of 10 images, along with an artist statement and resume. Work will be juried by an appointed gallery committee after the closing date. Selected artists will be notified by mail and will receive an informational package including a contract agreement. Participating artists are encouraged (but not required) to display works for sale; LCC Art Gallery will keep a commission of 30% of all sales. Set-up is scheduled during the week prior to the opening date, with takedown occurring Thursday immediately following the closing of the show. LCC does not pay shipping to or from the gallery; transportation of work is the artist's responsibility. All work not claimed 90 days after the final exhibition date becomes property of the LCC Art Gallery. The gallery reserves the right to refuse any accepted artwork that does not meet its display criteria and/or is not reasonably representative of the image submitted with the application.
