Lay of the Land

Lay of the Land is a juried exhibition created by Arts Longmont as a showcase for Colorado artists presenting traditional, conceptual or abstract views of landscape or land imagery, environmental themes and world issues. The exhibition welcomes submissions from artists working in all media. Arts Longmont seeks to discover and promote artists whose interpretation of landscapes are inventive, thought-provoking and display expertise in both skill and execution of their concept. Additionally, the gallery has a storefront window available for installation artists.

Juror: Marc Hanson, a Signature Member of The Oil Painters of America (O.P.A.) whose work has shown in galleries and museums nationally and internationally since the early 1980s.

Entry fee: $40.00. Submit 2-4 images. Deadline for submissions: April 13, 2018. Notification to artists: April 20, 2018. Artwork delivery: week of April 30-May 3. Exhibition runs May 11-June 30, 2018. Opening reception: Friday, May 11, 6-9 PM. Additional reception: Friday, June 8, 6-9 PM. Artwork removal: Saturday, June 30, 5-7 PM with additional times July 2-3.
