About This Call
The Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County is accepting artwork submissions for LatinXhibit, a Hispanic Heritage Month exhibition highlighting the rich and diverse influence LatinX artists have on the history of American Art. The exhibition showcases artists from across the United States as well as prominent and emerging local artists. Selected artwork will be featured at the Arts Center galleries, 301 Hay Street in downtown Fayetteville, NC from September 17 to October 16, 2021.
Entries are due by 11:59 PM on Monday, August 23rd. Artists can submit online via Café or email submissions to [email protected]. Submissions must include a bio/resume and digital photo/copy of the work. All submitted artwork should have been completed within the last three years and may not have been previously shown or entered into any Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County exhibition. There is no entry fee. Artists must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the United States. Artists must be of Latin American descent; submitted pieces may or may not reflect their cultural experiences, heritage, and identity. All 2D and 3D mediums are accepted, including drawing, painting, photography, animation, sculpture, mixed media, and printmaking.
If selected, artists are responsible for shipping artwork to the Arts Council by September 15th. A minimum of 50% of each artist's works exhibited should be for sale. The Arts Council retains a 30% commission from sales. All work is insured while at the Arts Council. Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance by Friday, August 27th via email. Installed entries may be picked up between Monday, October 18th and Wednesday, October 20th during regular business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM). Works not picked up by this date will be considered abandoned and become property of the Arts Council.
