About This Call

The Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District (LASED) is establishing an Inglewood Artist and Non-Profit Arts Organization Registry as a resource for ongoing temporary and permanent artworks, cultural programming, and site activation over the next ten years. The registry connects LASED with creative people who live, work, or maintain a studio in Inglewood. This registry is for informational purposes and does not pre-qualify artists or arts organizations for specific projects. As opportunities arise, the LASED public art consultant team may solicit proposals from registered artists and arts organizations.

Eligibility requires applicants to live, work, and/or maintain a studio or theater in Inglewood, CA, and identify as an artist or non-profit arts organization actively practicing an art form. Members of the City of Inglewood City Council, Arts Commission, and city staff are ineligible. Inclusion in the registry does not pre-qualify or guarantee selection for commissions, performances, or purchases. When opportunities are identified, artists working in appropriate media will be reviewed by an Ad Hoc Panel and may be prequalified for potential commissions, purchases, or performances. Selected artists will enter into a contract agreement and be required to carry general liability and automobile insurance.

Applicants may submit up to 3 applications with work samples including 2-12 images, up to 4 audio clips, and up to 4 video clips (maximum 20 total samples). Artists must submit a curriculum vitae (maximum 6 pages) and head shot. Non-profit arts organizations must submit a mission statement, list of artists/performers, and the date the organization was established in Inglewood. Applications may be submitted until May 15, 2021, though Phase 1 applications must have been received by July 31, 2019.
