About This Call

This exhibition is a collaborative effort with the Mid America College Art Association, seeking artwork that reflects and represents the work of LAPS members. The show runs from October 3 through November 16, 2012 at Sisson Gallery in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Building at Henry Ford Community College, 1111 Evergreen Road, Dearborn, MI 48000. The opening reception is October 3rd at 6pm.

Open to all Regular LAPS members whose 2012 dues of $50 have been paid or included with the entry form. Entry fee is $20 for up to 5 JPEGs. All print media (except conventional photography) and mixed media in which printmaking is dominant are acceptable. JPEG images should be sized with 6 inches at the longest side at 300dpi. Artists' statements are requested and will be displayed with selected artwork. All work must be ready for installation; hung pieces must be framed, wired, and under Plexiglas. There are no size restrictions, but all shipping containers must conform to UPS shipping standards.

Hand delivery to Sisson Gallery is September 26, 10am-6pm. Shipped work must arrive between September 17-26. All entries must include prepaid return shipping labels or FedEx billing number in strong reusable cartons. Artists are responsible for full return shipping costs and must insure their own work in transit. Works arriving late or damaged cannot be included. Pick-up of hand-delivered work is November 19-21, 10am-6pm. Work will be sold at the price listed on the entry form plus sales tax, with a 25% commission on all sales. The juror is Kristin L. Ellsworth, Ph.D. in the History of Art from Indiana University.
