Landscapes to Explore

Kansas City Stockyards Gallery seeks artists to apply with work that invites exploration of real and imagined landscapes. All mediums are accepted. Work must revolve around the ideas of landscapes and exploration.

Artwork must be original with no reproductions (photography excluded). 2D artwork must be wired and ready to hang. Jewelry artists may send displays with their work. Entry fee is $10.00, with an additional $5.00 media fee for each image beyond the first. Submit 1-6 images. The gallery is located in the historic Livestock Exchange Building.

Show dates are March 19th through April 9th, with a reception on March 19th from 5-9 pm. Reception is free and open to the public; artists are encouraged to attend. Reception will follow public health guidelines, requiring masks with limited gallery capacity. Artists whose work is accepted can drop off work on Friday, March 12th (1-5 pm) or Saturday, March 13th (11 am-3 pm). Shipped work must arrive by Friday, March 12th or sooner. Acceptance notifications will be sent by March 3rd, 2021.

Gallery takes a 40% commission from sold work. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and return shipping labels. Artists must purchase their own insurance; the gallery is not responsible for damage or theft during transit. Artwork not picked up by April 10th or shipped artwork without a return shipping label becomes gallery property within 30 days. Artists will be paid within 30 days of the show closing. Pickup dates are Friday, April 9th (1-5 pm) and Saturday, April 10th (11 am-3 pm).
