Landscape: Real and Imagined

Landscape: Real and Imagined is an international juried art exhibition at Site:Brooklyn, a gallery dedicated to exhibiting the current practice of contemporary artists. The exhibition runs November 16 – December 15, 2018, with an opening reception on Friday, November 16 from 6-9 PM. Landscape posits the challenge of how we imagine, view and engage with the world around us, seeking to show how contemporary artists take up this challenge. The juror is Eileen Jeng Lynch, Curator of Visual Arts at Wave Hill New York Public Garden and Culture Center.

This open call is for artists 18 years of age or older working in 2-dimensional media. The entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image. Submissions must include 3-12 images with title, year completed, medium, and dimensions for each. Only original works may be submitted. The final submission deadline is September 28, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by October 6, 2018, with a required confirmation of participation by October 9, 2018.

Accepted artwork must be 2-dimensional and not exceed 72" x 60" x 4" D. All artwork must be suitably framed to professional standard using Plexiglas (except hand-delivered work less than 24" x 30"). Work must be wired or have cleat attachment and ready for hanging. All artwork must be priced for sale, and Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all sales. Shipped work must arrive between October 22 and November 5, 2018. Hand-delivered work can be delivered November 4-5 from 12:00-5:00 P.M. Hand-delivered artwork must be picked up December 17-18 from 12:00-5:00 P.M. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. For questions, contact [email protected].
