Landscape National Juried Exhibition

Landscape National Juried Exhibition at Dallas Metro Arts Contemporary, 1412 14th Street, Plano, TX 75074. This exhibition is devoted to the art of the landscape, from the traditions of Thomas Cole and Frederick Church, to contemporary expressions of modernism. The exhibition runs May 5-30, 2021, with a closing reception on Saturday, May 30, 6:00-7:30 pm.

Eligibility: US artists age 18 and up with original art from the last three years. 2D art size limit is 48 inches wide and 72 inches tall. Work may be in any media including drawing, painting, collage, mixed media, photography, printmaking, computer art, or fiber arts. Time-based and video-based works are not accepted. No giclee photo reprints of art made in other original media. All 2D art must be suitably presentable and ready for hanging or display. Framed works may have glass or plexiglass and must have suitable hanging wire or D rings. Unframed canvas stretchers are acceptable with painted edges preferred. 3D work must be able to be shipped, stored, and displayed safely.

Entry Fee: $35 for minimum two images, $10 per each additional entry up to five entries maximum. Submission deadline: Sunday, April 11, 2021. Artist notification: Wednesday, April 14, 2021. Shipping and hand delivery window: April 14 - May 2. Selected works should be hand delivered or shipped in a reusable container with a prepaid return label. Awards: Grand Prize and Category Awards in Painting, Drawing/Printmaking, Photography/Computer art, and Mixed Media/Fiber, totaling $1800 in cash awards.
