Lands & Lifestyles: Art of the West

Life in the West Art Gallery invites artists to participate in a juried exhibition and sale showcasing images of the West. All styles of 2D and 3D artwork will be considered in the following categories: Painting, Drawing, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, Glassware, Ceramics, Wood Carving, Stoneware, and Metalwork. Please note that jewelry is not accepted due to lack of jewelry cases. The exhibition objective is to showcase the landscape and lifestyles of people living in the West, today and in the past, from the mountains to the plains and how they may interact with one another.

Entry fee is $40. Artists may submit 1-3 images. Upon acceptance, artists may submit two additional miniature artworks up to 12"x12" (including frame) at no additional cost. All artworks must be for sale and may not be removed by the artist until the close of the show. The gallery retains 30% commission on sales; artists receive 70%. All sales and taxes are handled by the gallery, with artist payments issued within 15 days of closing. Artworks are insured by the gallery for 70% of the sales price while on premises; the gallery is not responsible for artwork in transit.

Artwork delivery is October 9-13, 2023 from 9am-5pm. Show dates are October 20-23, 2023. Artist notification is September 20, 2023. Original works of 2D and 3D art are preferred; high-quality prints are acceptable. Wall hanging artwork may not exceed 48" in width (including frame) and must be gallery ready with wire for hanging. Sculptures must not exceed 60 lbs; no ceiling suspended sculptures accepted. Acrylic, Plexiglas, or Museum Glass coverings are recommended instead of regular glass. Eligibility is open to all artists residing within the United States. Submissions are through www.Callforentry.org.
