About This Call
Celebrating its 49th year, the Lakewood Arts Festival will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026 in downtown Lakewood, Ohio, a community located along the shores of Lake Erie. The festival is a juried exhibition of all media in fine arts and crafts featuring 165 artists curated from across the country. The festival also features booths operated by local not-for-profit organizations offering food, beverages, products, and activities for children. Live music in a range of genres will be performed throughout the day. Attendance averages 15,000+ visitors each year.
Artists may submit applications in the following medium categories: Ceramics, Drawing/Illustration, Enamel, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture/Metalwork, Wood, and Mixed Media. The jury will select approximately 50% of entries submitted. Application deadline is March 31, 2026. The jury fee is $25.00 (non-refundable), and the booth fee is $150.00, due by May 16, 2026. Artists will be notified on April 16, 2026. Each booth space is 10' x 10'. Artists must provide their own tent/booth display and tent weights are required. Electricity is not available. The artist must be present in the booth during the entire festival (10:00 AM - 6:00 PM) and may not break down until after 6:00 PM.
All work must be original, priced, and signed by the artist. Paintings, drawings, and graphics must be framed, matted, or displayed tastefully. No kits, molded ceramics, or candles are permitted. Artists are responsible for their own display area, sales receipts, and tax. No commission fee is charged. $1,100 in prize money will be awarded: Best of Show ($350), Second Place ($250), Third Place ($200), Best Creative Presentation ($150), and Best New Artist ($150). Artists must maintain their booths during festival hours to be eligible for prizes. Free parking is available in a nearby garage, and booth sitters are available to provide breaks. Complimentary bottled water is provided for artists. All exhibitors are required to carry their own liability insurance.
