About This Call
The Lake Orion Art & Flower Fair, presented by the Orion Art Center, is a juried vendor market that kicks off the summer season for residents of Lake Orion and surrounding communities in northern Oakland County. The fair is one of two major fundraising events for the non-profit Orion Art Center.
The event features 100 juried booth spaces across two vendor categories: Art, craft, and handmade items along with flowers, plants, and landscaping materials (75 booths), and Food and non-art vendors (25 booths). Only original work handmade by the displaying artist(s) is eligible for sale. Items must be at least 60% made by the vendor; no contracted, resold, or items made by someone else are permitted. Mediums include ceramics, digital media, drawing, fiber, folk/traditional arts, glass, jewelry, leather, metalwork, mixed media, painting, papermaking/book arts, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and woodwork.
The fair runs Saturday 10AM–6PM and Sunday 10AM–4PM. Vendor load-in and setup is Saturday 6:30–9AM; all exhibits must be set up by 9:30AM and remain open through Sunday 4PM. Vendors must supply their own tent, tables, and chairs; the event provides a 10x10 space and electricity upon request. The application fee is $25 (non-refundable). Upon acceptance, the booth fee is $200, due by May 1, 2025 ($150 for nonprofits). Applicants will be notified of jury status no later than April 18, 2026. The jury consists of 3 jurors who score applications using a Yes, No, or Maybe scale. The jury process is closed to observation.
