About This Call
Cultivate invites applications for its multi-disciplinary La Baldi Residency, a self-directed international residency located in the historic village of Montegiovi in southern Tuscany, Italy. The residency is an opportunity to experiment, develop ideas and projects, explore, rejuvenate, research, and investigate the land and culture of this special area. The residency welcomes individuals and collaborative teams.
Through the La Baldi residency, Cultivate expands its platform for artists, writers, and researchers to investigate land, place, and the commons. Evolving projects include experimental and practical interdisciplinary explorations that engage with the qualities, perceptions, and layers of experience and relationships that inform notions of landscape. Ideas from a full spectrum of voices across generations are supported using sustainable tactics.
Eligibility: International. Categories: Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, Sculpture. Award: Subsidized residency. Submission Deadline: January 2, 2026.
