Kroger Company Artwork Commission - Jerome Village Store

The Dublin Arts Council, in partnership with the Kroger Company, is commissioning a professional artist to create indoor artwork for a new grocery store in Jerome Village located at 12116 Sycamore Trace, Plain City, OH 43064. The artwork will be prominently displayed on a wall inside the store as part of the Kroger Company's commitment to involving artists in beautifying new stores throughout the nation. The artwork is expected to celebrate the spirit of the community and the unique identity of the neighborhood and its surroundings. The wall space for the artwork is 24 feet wide by 8 feet high, and the artwork will be mounted on panels of durable material that can be attached to the wall.

This opportunity is open to professional artists in the Columbus Metropolitan Area (Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Perry, Pickaway, and Union counties) with the ability to produce exemplary and original large-scale artwork. Applicants must submit six digital images (jpeg format preferred, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest edge, maximum 5MB each), up to three video clips, a caption sheet identifying each image by title, medium, dimensions, dates, and location, and a resume/CV. Up to three artists will be selected as semi-finalists and paid $400 each for the development of their design proposals. One artist will be awarded a $10,000 commission, which includes all artist fees and the cost of design, fabrication, installation, transportation, and insurance. The artwork must be delivered to the Jerome Village store by October 16, 2024. Semi-finalists will be notified on June 26, 2024, with design/drawings due July 24, 2024, and the finalist chosen July 26, 2024.
