Kokomo Sculpture Walk 2023-2025 Exhibit

The City of Kokomo invites artists to participate in a juried, on-loan, outdoor sculpture exhibit in downtown Kokomo, Indiana. Selected artists will enter into a 2-year Art Loan Agreement with the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance and receive an honorarium of $2,000 per piece. The sculptures will be installed on concrete platforms or grassy areas in downtown Kokomo along the Kokomo Riverwalk and the Industrial Heritage trail, with the exhibition running from September 2023 through August 2025.

Artists may submit up to three sculptures for consideration. Submissions must include a bio/resume, images (3 images if submitting 1 sculpture; 2 images each if submitting 2-3 sculptures), dimensions (HxWxD) for each submission, and stated insurance value. Sculptures must be completed, ready for installation, and constructed of durable materials to withstand year-round Indiana weather. Sculptures sitting on bases must be no larger than 8' x 8' at the base, though ground-resting sculptures may exceed this dimension. Installation methods should use welded tabs or similar easy-install methods. Fragile or dangerous works will not be accepted. Selected artists are responsible for transportation to and from the installation site; the Greater Kokomo Economic Development Alliance and City of Kokomo will supervise installation and provide insurance for the duration of the exhibit.

Entry deadline: August 8, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Jury selections will be made by August 10, 2023. Delivery and installation: August 12-31, 2023. Sculptures to be removed: August 1-15, 2025.
