Kipaipai Workshops Willow Pond SLO 2024

This workshop program at Willow Pond Retreat in Edna Valley, California focuses on professional practices including gallery representation, museum exhibitions, self-promotion, social media use, critical writing, presentation, and identifying and strategizing personal and professional goals. Sixteen participants will be selected by a jury of professionals.

The workshop runs June 15-16, 2024 from 9am-4pm, with optional morning and evening activities. Check-in is Friday, June 14, 2024 after 3pm. Local fare is provided for daily lunches. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with a team of guest professionals through private one-on-one sessions and group meetings. Artists are responsible for their own travel and housing expenses, though special rates have been reserved at a local hotel.

Accepted artists will be notified by February 20, 2024 and must pay a $500 deposit by March 20, 2024 to hold their spot, with full tuition of $900 due by May 1, 2024. Applicants must speak and understand English, have a working practice in the visual arts (curators welcome), and submit a complete application including images and artist statement. Entry deadline is February 20, 2024 at 5pm. Entry fee is $50.
