Kipaipai Workshops Sorrento, Italy

This workshop program at Art Hotel Gran Paradiso in Sorrento, Italy focuses on professional practices in gallery representation, museum exhibitions, self-promotion, social media use, critical writing, presentation, and identifying and strategizing personal and professional goals.

The workshop takes place November 4-7, 2024. Check-in is Monday, November 4 after 3pm. The main workshop runs Tuesday and Wednesday, November 5-6 from 9am-4pm, with optional morning and evening activities in the Sorrento area. Local fare is provided for daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sixteen participants will be selected by a jury of professionals. Through private one-on-one sessions and group meetings, students will meet with a team of guest professionals.

Accepted artists will be notified by May 15, 2024. A deposit of $600 is due by May 30, 2024 to hold a spot, with full tuition of $1,200 due by August 1, 2024. Single and double rooms are included in tuition. Artists are responsible for their own travel expenses. Applicants must speak and understand English, have a working practice in the visual arts (curators welcome), and complete the application with all questions answered and an artist statement included. Entry fee is $50.
